Dinner-table questions
  1. How did the daughters of Zelophehad show faith in today’s story?
They believed that God’s promises to give His people a land were for them too. Nobody was left out of God’s blessing.
  2. Jesus came to bring an even better “promised land” – living with God forever in the new earth and heavens. Who is Jesus’ kingdom for?
Everyone and anyone who trusts him – girls and boys, kids and grown ups, people from all over the world!
  3. Sometimes we can think that boys are better or that girls are better, but God’s good plan was to create girls and boys, and to have girls and boys in His kingdom. How does this help you when you think about yourself and you think about others?
    Discuss!
Family activity: church history

Borrow one of the ‘Do Great Things for God’ autobiographies from the City Kids library. Read about how God specially created and used one of these women. Everyone (girls and boys) can learn from their example of faith!
