- Who has the power to forgive sins?
Only God is able to forgive sins. - Why did the scribes say that Jesus couldn’t forgive the man?
They didn’t know or believe that He is God. - How can we have our sins forgiven?
Ask Jesus to forgive us and to trust in Him.
Family Activity: Stretcher
Make sure you do this safely!
Using a towel as a stretcher, see how long 4 people (or 3, or 2) can hold someone who’s lying on it and carry them around the room. Take turns being the one lying on the towel. See if the children are able to carry mum or dad (but don’t let anyone put their back out!!)
The man’s friends put in a big effort to get him to Jesus. However, even though they were great friends, Jesus is the one who the story is about – He’s the one who has the power to forgive sins. We should trust in Him!
