Genesis 1-2
Big truth: A very good God makes a very good world, with humans as His very good image bearers
Christ connection: Jesus makes sinners new and will restore the world!
Memory verse: Isaiah 40:28 song
Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
Dinner-table questions:
- What’s your favourite thing that God created?
- Were you surprised to learn that God the Son was creating in the beginning?
- Jesus didn’t just create everything, but he came to the world to RE-CREATE what sin had broken. How does Jesus make us new?
Family discipleship activity:
Be creative, because God is creative! Make something together, like a cake, an art project, or even a poem! Or have a go at repairing something in your home that’s broken.
Thank God for how He created everything, recreates us in Jesus, and will renew the world.
